The Salamander Summer Music Festival believes everyone has the right to experience its events in a safe space where they feel welcome and respected. It aspires to create a community of inclusivity that encourages creativity, freedom of expression and attire, and respectful discussion, without causing harm to others- regardless of the intention.
Salamander Summer Music Festival will nurture safer spaces where all people regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, race, ethnicity, religious belief, ability, colour, or other personal characteristics feel comfortable in our environment and free from any negativity or harm due to others’ display of symbols, actions or words.
Any form of discrimination, harassment, sexual violence and/or assault, disorderly conduct or any behaviour verbal or physical that demeans or marginalizes another individual will not be tolerated. Anyone feeling unsafe at our festival at any time can contact a volunteer, organizer or committee member to resolve the situation as soon as possible.
We strive to work together to create a community of inclusivity, connection, expression and mutual respect.
